July 18, Day 3: Caldwell Idaho (part 2)

  • Miles today:  0.

  • Trip total:  487.

  • Weather:   Hot and sunny.  High temp in Caldwell 93°F.

  • Today's Theme song:"The Dragon" by Toots Thielemans and Chet Baker..

  • Today's "Rachionary" word: "schmancy" [shman-see] adjective, Contraction of "smart" and "fancy" to describe something or someone whose complexity or intelligence is overstated.

  • Today's "Rodgerism" quote:"Sleep makes everything go faster."

  • D'oh! of the day:   Enough travel mugs.  (Souvenier idea!)

  • Today's lesson:   Icons of societal mistrust.

  • We spent the day with Don's mother and ended with a barbeque that included Don's brother Dan, and his entire family, including grandkids.  Rachael and Rodger gave their second concert of "The Dragon" north-american tour.  That's about the only music for the day, so I have included the original recording as today's theme.

Today's lesson is about keys.  RVs need a lot of keys.

These are the keys I carry at home.

    These are my RV keys.

There is only one single key for all of the exterior compartments, in case you were wondering.  The rest are for everything else, from the bike locks to the door, to the lock-box and a few others.

That's a big wad of keys in my pocket, not a physical indicator of how excited I am to be on vacation.
